What is a Case?
A Case is a virtual folio that a user creates for a target
company for a year and in which the user may work with the Prowess TraX
tools to find the most relevant peers of the target company.
To create a Case the following data needs to be specified:
Enter name of target company.
It is necessary that the target company is part of the Prowess
TraX database. If it is not so, then use the Seek Clarifications
facility to suggest the addition of the company into the database.
Select database Vintage.
The Prowess TraX database is created seven times in a year. You
may choose any of these databases. It is suggested that you use the
latest available database.
Select financial year ended.
This is usually the financial year of the target company or
the nearest year ending March.
The default is “Rs.Crore”, but this can be changed.
Name of the Case.
This is the name by which the Case would be identified for
future use. Case names must be unique.
Cases are stored in the database. The Cases created by a User
are displayed when a user logs in. Every Case has a status. The status
could be either “Closed” or “Open”.
A user can create as many Cases as required. Multiple Cases
can be made for the same company for the same year with the same vintage
and currency as well. It may just be saved with a different name.
A Case is executed by selecting peers through a process of
finding companies in a comparable business and by filtering these to
reflect the scale of operations of the target company. This is done
using several or all of the 13 stages provided in Prowess TraX.
A Case is completed when the Documentation is generated. A
completed Case cannot be edited or worked upon any further. A completed
Case if frozen. All the Output sheet/s and Datasheet/s will be deleted
immediately after the Documentation is generated.
An incomplete Case can be saved. An incomplete (where
Documentation is not generated) Case can be re-opened and edited or
worked further upon.
